A “Healthy Snack Policy” encourages healthy snack choices for all of our students. These recommendations and guidelines are taken from CEL’s Wellness Policy which is a requirement under the National School Lunch Program.

Free Meal Program
District 27 will be participating in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). The SFSP is a federally funded program that provides FREE nutritious meals during the summer months to ALL families. Food will be prepared by District 27 staff and the First Presbyterian Church in Lincoln will provide volunteers for the program. Lunch will be served each Tuesday and Thursday June 5 – July 27 from 12pm – 1pm at the Lincoln Junior High School. Learning activities will be provided each Tuesday by University of Illinois Extension. Physical activities will be provided by ALMH each Thursday (using the CATCH PE curriculum). The lunches are free to ALL children 18 and younger. Adults may purchase a meal for $3.
